How to Convert a PDF to a JPEG on a Mac

If you have a PDF file on your Mac computer that you want to convert to a JPEG image, you can do so without any special computer expertise or software. Macs are designed to be able to easily convert a PDF to a JPEG image. A Mac can also convert a PDF to a PNG, GIF or TIF file.

  • Right-click on the PDF that you want to convert to a JPEG. A menu will appear.

  • Point to "Open With" and click on "Preview." The PDF image will open in the Preview window.

  • Click "File" and choose "Save As." Click the drop-down menu next to "Format" and select "JPEG."

  • Click "Save." You now have converted a PDF to a JPEG on your Mac computer.
