Mist the bathroom walls where black mold exists using a spray bottle filled with plain water.

Using a bucket allows you to move around with your cleaning solution. Prepare a cleaning solution for the first part of mold removal: Fill a bucket with hot water and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of liquid disinfectant cleaner. Mix the solution to create some soap suds.

Dip a clean cloth or scrub brush into your disinfectant cleaning solution. Scrub your bathroom walls that have the black mold infestation. Remove as much black mold as possible. Change to a fresh cleaning solution when the water starts to look dirty, and continue washing your walls until black mold is no longer visible.

Combine 1 part hydrogen peroxide with 2 parts water in a bucket. Saturate a clean cloth with the peroxide solution and wipe down the walls where the black mold existed. Rinse your cloth in the peroxide mixture frequently to ensure you are getting the peroxide on the wall surfaces. Wash surrounding areas as well. The peroxide mixture will kill any remaining invisible mold spores and help to prevent its return.

Dry your walls completely using a clean dry cloth. Open windows, as well, to aid in the drying process.

Tips & Warnings
Substitute chlorine bleach or isopropyl alcohol for the hydrogen peroxide if necessary when killing mold spores.
Use a ventilating fan each time you shower. Keeping moisture to a minimum will help prevent the development of black mold.
