How to Install Batteries Into a Maglite

Maglites aren't just regular flashlights. They are made of hard metals for heavy-duty flashlight work, and include a lens that adjusts from a spotlight to a floodlight. Maglites also come in varying sizes and power. However, with each size comes a need for bigger and more powerful batteries, which need to be installed properly before the flashlight will be of any use to you.

Instructions

1. Unscrew the bottom of the flashlight by turning it counter-clockwise.

2. Drop the first battery down the flashlight positive-side first.

3. Place the remaining batteries into the light positive-side first. Ensure that the negative side sticks out of the flashlight from the last battery.

4. Push the battery down firmly with the bottom of the Maglite. Turn the bottom of the Maglite clockwise as you push down in order to secure it.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not mix old and new batteries in the flashlight.
