How to Remove BearShare Software

BearShare is a file-sharing program that connects users from all over the world and allows you to download media content, including music and videos. If you are no longer using BearShare, uninstalling it from your computer frees up hard drive and memory space. Using the BearShare uninstaller or Windows uninstaller, you can remove BearShare and its associate MediaBar from your computer in minutes.

Instructions

      Close BearShare if you are currently using it. Click the Windows "Start" menu and select "All Programs" or "Programs," depending on the version of Windows you are using.

      Scroll up the Programs menu and select "BearShare." A new sub-folder opens. Click "Uninstall BearShare" to uninstall the file-sharing program from your computer.

      Click the Windows "Start" menu if you are unable to uninstall BearShare using the previous steps. Click the "Control Panel" and double-click "Add or Remove Programs" if you are using Windows XP. This launches the Programs window. If you are using Windows Vista or 7, click "Programs" and then "Programs and Features" to launch the Programs window.

      Select "BearShare" in the Programs window and click "Remove" or "Uninstall" to remove the software, depending on the operating system you are using. Uninstall the BearShare MediaBar as well.
