How to Install a Car Stereo in a 93 Mazda Protege
The original stereo system in the 1993 Mazda Protege was an AM/FM stereo cassette deck. You can upgrade or replace a malfunctioning stock unit with relative ease. Mazda employs a system for removing factory stereos using DIN removal tools. The special tools are available through Mazda or Ford dealerships, or can be purchased through many retail car audio outlets. You will also need an installation kit to mount your new stereo.
