How to Send Email to a Distribution List
Distribution lists collate email addresses and sometimes other information so you do not have to manually type out the addresses every time you wish to send an email. Distribution lists are useful if you want to send emails to a regular set of friends or co-workers, if you are running a mailing list newsletter or if you wish to contact a group of customers or clients at once. Distribution lists are a built-in feature of Outlook, Microsoft's proprietary email software, and Exchange, the company's corporate, enterprise-solutions software. Some Web-based clients such as Gmail also offer distribution list support.
