How to Remove a Person From the Background in Photoshop Elements 6

Photoshop Elements 6 is a easy-to-use version of Photoshop, which is the industry standard for photo editing and photo manipulating software. One of the reasons for Photoshop Elements' popularity is that it can perform many of same actions as Photoshop, but the processes used to complete these actions are typically simple. One easy Photoshop Elements process is the ability to remove a person from the background of an image.

Instructions

1. Select the "Clone Stamp" tool from the toolbox on the side of the page.

2. Select a "120" brush size next to "Brush" at the top of the screen.

3. Hold the "Alt" button and click somewhere on the page that looks like the background that would be behind the person you want to remove.

4. Release the "Alt" button and slowly click and drag the cursor over the person you want to remove. This will begin to remove the person and instead place the background image on top of them.

5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have completely covered the person's image.
