How to Clean Jacuzzi Jetted Tubs

Clean a Jacuzzi jetted tub with inexpensive cleaners.

Jacuzzi designs high quality spa-style jetted bathtubs that are found in many luxury homes. These bathtubs give you a private spa experience without the need to leave your home. As your bath water runs through the tub jets, the body oils, bath bubbles and other elements also run through the jets, depositing in areas that are unseen from the bathtub surface. Luckily, cleaning the Jacuzzi tub jets is fairly easy and inexpensive.

Things You'll Need

• Bleach
• Powdered dishwasher detergent

Instructions

1. Fill the Jacuzzi jetted tub with hot water until the fill line is 2 inches above all jet openings.

2. Pour 1/2 cup bleach and 1 tbsp. powdered dishwasher detergent into the Jacuzzi tub.

3. Turn on the tub jets, and let run for 15 minutes.

4. Drain the tub and refill once more with cold water this time, making sure the fill line is 2 inches above all jet openings.

5. Run the jets for 15 minutes, and drain the Jacuzzi tub when finished.
