One of the high "cool" factors in using a Palm device is the capability to "beam" by sending information wirelessly from one device to another. It can be incredibly useful to beam an application entry, such as directions to a restaurant, from one device to another. It can also be fun to beam shareware games to all your friends. To beam and receive beams, you must be using at least a Palm III, or an earlier device upgraded to a Palm III.
