Record a Music Video on Your iPod

Many iPods have video screens that allow you to download recorded music videos that you can view on the screen. The only ones that do not have video screens are iPod Shuffles and first-generation iPods. If your iPod doesn't have a viewable video screen, unfortunately you will not be able to put music videos on it. The process is as easy as putting regular music on your iPod; the only difference is that it takes up more space.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the music video on your computer. If you have iTunes, it is probably under "Movies" or "Video" in your iTunes. Otherwise, find it in the folder where you've placed it on your computer.

    • 2

Plug your iPod USB cable into the iPod and into a USB port on your computer and turn the iPod on. Wait for it to link to your computer, and it will show up either in iTunes or on your desktop.

    • 3

Drag and drop the music video from the iTunes library screen into the iPod on the left, or drag the file into the iPod icon on the desktop. If it will not load, check to make sure you have enough empty space on your iPod and, if not, delete some songs or media.
