How to Change the Look of the Mouse Pointer

In the Mouse Settings menu, you can choose among various mouse pointer designs. Changing the mouse pointer has no effect on the functionality of the mouse or how it responds when clicking or selecting files. If you've installed custom mouse designs, they will be available in the list of pointer designs.

      Click the "Start" icon in the Windows taskbar. Click "Control Panel."

      Click "Printers and Other Hardware." Click the "Mouse" icon.

      Click the "Pointers" tab. Scroll through the list of available pointers and select the one you want to use. Click "Apply." Click "OK."

    Windows Vista and 7

      Right-click on an empty area on the desktop.

      Click "Personalize." Click "Change mouse pointers."

      Scroll through the list of available pointers and select the one you want to use. Click "Apply." Click "OK."
