Microsoft Word is a part of Office.

Word 2007 provides users with a word processor. The software is included with the Microsoft Office suite of applications. If your document recipients do not have Word 2007 installed, you can convert the file to another file format, such as Microsoft Works. Works is a more lightweight word processor included in some computer manufacturer's software bundles. You can convert Word 2007 documents to Works using the "Save As" function.
