How Do You Make Avery CD Labels?

Printed CD labels make your CDs look professional.

You could label your CDs by writing on them with a marker, but a printed label looks more professional. Whether you're distributing your band's latest album to your fans or a software update to your clients, Avery CD labels make your CDs eye-catching and memorable. Avery provides downloadable templates that lets you create labels with Microsoft Word. The labels themselves are pre-cut, so you can just peel them off the sheet and stick then to your CDs.

Things You'll Need

• Microsoft Word
• Avery CD Labels
• Computer printer

Instructions

1. Go to Avery.com and download their CD label template.

2. Open the template in Microsoft Word. Edit the template as you would any other Word document. You can add text and pictures, or use Word's drawing toolbar to add shapes. As of May 2010, the template contains room for 2 CD labels. Design one label and then copy and paste all the elements into the space for the second CD label when you are satisfied with your design.

3. Place the label sheet in your printer's feed tray with the arrow pointing towards the printer. Print the labels as you would any other document.
