How to Design Your Own Dell Laptop
The Dell website allows users to build their own laptop online and then order that creation for direct delivery. The process of designing and personalizing a Dell laptop allows users to create a laptop with the specific components to serve the their special needs. Gamers make different demands on their PC systems than photographers, and musicians make different demands than either of the other two user types. Different users require different speeds, graphics capabilities, audio components and memory. Any of these individuals get the exact system they need when they design their own Dell laptop on the Dell site.

Log on to the Dell website and view the various basic laptop options presented down the left side of the screen to begin the design process.

Check the circle next to "Laptop" in the first option to bring up the individual laptop components.

Go down the list of laptop components and select those desired for the custom laptop. Choose the screen size, operating system, laptop weight, type of optical drive, hard drive size, amount of memory, processor type and type of graphics card. Select the price range if staying within a budget.

Click on one of the laptop units selected by the Dell system that falls within the specifications chosen and review the component specifications.

Press the "Customize It" button just below the price to further adjust the details of the components that make up the laptop.

Select "Add to Cart" to begin the purchase of the laptop once the customization process is complete, then finish the checkout process to finalize purchase.
