      Go to the small claims court in the borough of your choosing to file a statement of your claim.

      Ask the clerk for an application for a small claims lawsuit.

      Fill out the application completely.

      Give a brief statement on why you are suing on the application.

      Turn in your application and pay the filing fee. As of May 2010, the fee was $15 if your claim is $1,000 or less. If your claim is more than $1,000, the fee is $20.
