Audiobooks that have chapters divided into separate tracks are treated like an album in iTunes when imported, and can be rearranged through iTunes' track settings. After you change the order of the tracks in iTunes, the audiobook will follow the new track order when played on your iPod, and will remain that way until you manually rearrange the tracks. Once changed, be sure to preview the audiobook in iTunes to ensure a smooth transition from one track to another.
Click the "Audiobooks" or "Books" tab in the iTunes source list, and right-click the track you wish to edit. Select "Get Info" from the pop-up menu.
Click the "Info" tab at the top of the new window and click the first box underneath the "Track Number" section.
Delete the track number, if applicable, and enter the new number for the audiobook track. Click "OK" to save the changes, or click "Next" to save the changes and edit the following audiobook track.
