How to Win at Mini Baccarat
Mini Baccarat is a casino table game played using the same rules as standard Baccarat with lower betting limits. For each round of mini baccarat, two card hands are initially dealt by the house dealer: the player hand and the banker hand. Before the hand has been dealt bets can be placed on either hand or a tie. Once the bets are placed and play commences, players and the banker are required to draw cards based on the total value of their hand. Cards from 2 to 9 are valued based on their rank, face cards and 10's are worth zero points, and aces are worth one point. The hand which is closest to nine points wins. Hands with more than 10 points drop the tens digit and count only the second digit for their score.

1
Place a bet on your hand, the banker’s hand or a tie. Bet on your hand by putting your chips in the numbered box on the table directly in front of you. Bet on the banker's hand by putting your chips in the numbered box closer to the dealer. Bet on a tie by placing your chips in the “tie” square closest to the dealer. A winning bet on your hand or the banker's hand pays out 1 to 1. A winning bet on a tie pays out 8 or 9 to 1 depending on the casino at which you play.

2
Total your points after the dealer deals your first two cards.

3
Expose your hand if your initial two cards add up to an 8 or a 9. This is called a “natural” and the banker will do the same if his hand adds up to 8 or 9. The round ends when either the player or the bank is dealt a natural. Payments are made based upon the winning bets. If you bet on the hand that came up a natural then you win your money back and the same amount from the bank. If neither hand is a natural play continues.

4
Stand without drawing if your first two cards total six or more. At this point you can reveal your hand and the dealer will know that you must stand. If your first two cards total five or less you must draw one additional card. Add the card to your point total and subtract 10 points if your total exceeds 10 points.
-
5
Reveal the bankers hand. If the hand totals seven points or more the banker must stand without drawing. If the total equals zero, one or two the banker must draw one card. If the hand totals three, four, five or six then the banker will draw based on the player’s point total.
-
6
Determine which hand is closer to nine points. That hand wins. If you bet on the winning hand you get your money back plus the same amount from the bank. If you bet on a tie and the hands are tied you win eight times the amount you bet. If you bet on the banker and the banker wins you must pay 5 percent of your winnings because there is a higher chance the banker will win.
