Instructions

    • 1

Use wire cutters to cut four lengths of copper wire, two inches each. Bend them so they almost form semicircles. Cut two more one-inch lengths of wire and bend each into a full circle. Solder one end of each of the two-inch lengths to one of the circles on the cardinal compass points, to form an open cage.

    • 2

Wait for the solder to cool and set. Place the crystals inside the cage. If necessary, bend the copper wires out to make room to put in the crystals, then bend them back into place again. Solder the second ring to the open ends of each of the wires, to seal the crystals in place.

    • 3

Bend the last inch of the copper wire to form a semicircle with a loop in the middle. Make sure the loop is pointing upward. Solder the ends of the loop across the top of the cage to form a pendant. Thread the necklace chain through the loop on the top of the pendant.

Tips & Warnings

  • For best results, use solder sparingly, and consider filing it down once the pendant is made. This will remove any sharp edges and also improve the overall appearance of the pendant.
