How to Attach Drawer Pulls

Drawer pulls can change your kitchen's appearance.

When updating your kitchen, one of the easiest updates----and one that can make the most difference in the appearance of your kitchen--is to attach drawer pulls. Drawer pulls come in a variety of shapes and styles, from early American to whimsical in design. Attaching drawer pulls to your plain-front drawer faces will change the overall look of your kitchen, and emphasize its design.

Things You'll Need

• Tape measure
• Drill
• 3/16-inch wood drill bit

Instructions

1. Measure the width and the height of your drawer front. Mark the location where the two measurements intersect to show the center point of your drawer.

2. Drill a hole in the drawer face using a 3/16-inch drill bit at the location you chose in Step 1. Double check your measurements before you drill the hole.

3. Feed the screw for the drawer pull through the drawer face, from the inside to the outside. Twist your drawer pull onto the screw and hand tighten it.
