How to Make a Job Resume for a Retail Store
Retail stores offer a number of career opportunities. You can work as a salesperson on the floor. You can work in the warehouse, or you can work as a supervisor or manager. Even if you'd prefer a management position, a start as a salesperson or assistant manager will provide the skills you need for advancement. To land that retail job, the first thing you'll need is a resume that highlights your relevant skills and experience.

3
Add a section to list your areas of expertise or special skills. You should list approximately eight to 10 items. Include skills or qualities that make you stand out from other candidates and that are applicable to the retail position you're applying for. For example, a retail store manager might include sales and marketing, budget planning and team leadership. A warehouse supervisor, on the other hand, might include safety and compliance, inventory control and systems management.

4
Create a section to list your professional experience. This will include your past jobs. Include your title, the company's name and location, and your dates of employment. After each job, add three to five bullet points that explain your responsibilities. Use keywords that look impressive in the retail industry, such as customer service, merchandising, supervising, training, store management, budgeting and administrative functions.

5
Include a section for your education. List the highest level of education you've attained, the resulting degree if applicable, the school, the location and the date you attained it. You can also list any training programs you've completed that are relevant to the position you're applying for, such as management training or sales training.
