How to Lower PH Levels of H2o2 in Hot Tubs
H2O2 hot tubs use hydrogen peroxide to disinfect the water. The right pH level controls the intensity of the hydrogen ions within the hot tub. When the pH level in your H2O2 hot tub is over 7.8, it's too high. High pH levels in an H2O2 hot tub can cause scaling on tub walls and other problems with the water. It's important to keep the levels between 7.2 and 7.8 on the pH scale to ensure the quality of the water and proper water disinfection. If the pH level is above 7.8, it's time to add pH decreaser. Testing and lowering the pH levels does not take long, and the products can be purchased at local pool and spa supply stores. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Insert a pH test strip into the hot tub water; allow the water to test for 30 seconds. Remove the strip and read the measurement of pH.
-
2
Add the necessary amount of pH decreaser if the measurement is high. The amount needed will vary based on the size of the hot tub, so refer to the side of the pH decreaser container.

3
Turn the hot tub on. Allow the water and decreaser to circulate for five minutes. Turn the hot tub off. Place a pH test strip in the water once again and retest the pH levels. Continue this process until the pH level is safely between 7.2 and 7.8.
