Invervideo WinDVD by Corel is a popular video playback program capable of displaying both DVDs and Blu-ray movies in full 1080 resolution, as long as the monitor is 1080 HD ready. In order to install the DVD program onto a computer, you either need to purchase the Intervideo WinDVD from a local computer and electronics store, or download the product from the Corel website.

  1. CD Installation

      Insert the Intervideo WinDVD installation CD into the disc drive of the computer and the installation wizard loads onto the screen.

      Click "Next" on the Corel Intervideo WinDVD welcome page. The page essentially tells you what the program does and what you have to look forward to.

      Accept the license agreement, then leave the installation name and installation location as the default settings by clicking "Next."

      Choose "Install" on the final page of the installation wizard. A progress bar appears on the screen, showing the time left until the installation has finished. Click "OK" on the prompt window that informs you that the installation is complete.

    Install from Download

      Open your Internet browser and navigate to the Corel.com website, select "All Products" and choose "WinDVD." From there click "Buy Now" and choose the download option. Fill in the purchase information---name, address, email address and credit/debit card data---and then submit the order. In a moment the program downloads to the computer.

      Double-click the downloaded file. The installation wizard appears on the screen.
