Glass cleaning is often a dreaded task as many times it seems that no matter which type of cleaner we use, the glass still ends up with streaks. For better results, you can make your own homemade sudsy glass cleaner right at home. There are two different recipes to make homemade glass cleaner. Both recipes will make a sudsy cleaner that will clean glass effectively. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 32-oz. spray bottle
  • 2 tbsp. sudsy ammonia
  • 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
  • 1/4 tsp. dish washing detergent

Instructions

  1. Ammonia and Water

      Pour 32-oz. water into an empty spray bottle. Make sure the bottle is completely clean with no trace of former cleaning products.

      Add 2 tbsp. sudsy ammonia to the bottle.

      Shake the bottle well to combine the ingredients.

    Rubbing Alcohol, Detergent and Ammonia

      Pour 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol into an empty 32-oz. spray bottle. Make sure the bottle is completely clean with no trace of former cleaning products.

      Add 2 tbsp. sudsy ammonia and 1/4 tsp. dish washing detergent to the bottle. Fill the bottle nearly to the top with water.

      Add 2 tbsp. sudsy ammonia and 1/4 tsp. dish washing detergent to the bottle. Fill the bottle nearly to the top with water.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never mix bleach and ammonia, or products containing these ingredients. This mixture releases toxic fumes which can be fatal.
