Rippled Diamond Method
-
1
Lay the napkin on a flat, clean surface. Fold the napkin in half, then once more so it is folded into four squares, one over the other.
-
2
Take the first layer of the folded napkin at the open-ended side, and fold the corner back so it meets the opposite corner. The result is a square with a diagonal line through it.

3
Take your next layer, and fold it up to the opposite corner, stopping about half an inch before it meets the corner. Repeat this step with your remaining layers, again stopping each about half an inch before the last so the end result is a ripple effect from the top corner down.
-
4
Take the opposite sides of the napkin, and fold them under so they meet and the napkin forms a diamond shape. You should now have a beautiful diamond shape with a ripple of folds going up the center.
Fanned Napkin Ring Method
-
5
Lay the napkin on a flat surface. Fold one side about half an inch over and then under itself. Repeat this step until the napkin is folded up all the way like an accordion or fan.
-
6
Grab the napkin in the middle, and fold it in half. You should now have what appears to be a fan.
-
7
Place the napkin in a napkin ring by threading the folded area into the ring. You can place the napkin in a champagne glass or other stemware so the fan flairs out of the glass. Flair out the top of the napkin to make a bursting shape.
