How to Build a Dragon Deck
Your goal in a YuGiOh card duel is to reduce your opponent's Life Points to zero. You can do this by directly attacking your opponent with monster cards. One type of monster card to use are Dragon monsters. You can construct a Dragon deck using a series of Dragon monsters along with spell and trap cards that prevent your opponent from using his own spells and traps to gain the upper hand. This will allow your Dragons the ability to launch an assault on your opponent with only his monsters standing in your path.

Add Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 to your deck. This card is immune to all spell cards, making it hard to defeat if your opponent does not have powerful monster cards. Include Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8, a monster that is summoned when your Black Flame Dragon LV6 is defeated in battle.

Insert Royal Decree into your deck. This trap card negates the effects of all trap cards in play. Combine this trap card with your Black Flame Dragon LV8, which prevents all spell cards from being played. Your opponent will have no moves beyond attacking.

Include the Armed Dragon LV 3, LV5, LV7 and LV10 cards. Each subsequent Armed Dragon is summoned by tributing the lower level Dragon. When you summon Armed Dragon LV10, you can destroy every monster your opponent controls by sending a monster from your hand to the graveyard.

Prevent your opponent from targeting your Dragon monster cards by inserting King Dragun into your deck. In addition, you can specially summon a Dragon-type monster from your hand each turn King Dragun is in play. Use Lord of D to prevent damage to your Dragon monsters as well.

Protect yourself from attacks while you summon your Dragons with the Draining Shield trap card. This card will prevent one attack by your opponent and refill your Life Points by the value of the attack. Add Rainbow Life to gain Life Points instead of taking damage for one turn by sacrificing one card from your hand.

Add three Exploder Dragon monster cards to your deck. These low-level monster cards can be tributed for more powerful Dragons and if defeated in battle also defeat the attacking monster.

Put Spirit Ryu in your deck, a monster whose attack power raises by 1,000 for each Dragon card you discard during your turn.

Increase your summon potential for the Dragon deck by inserting Summoner's Art and Double Summon spell cards. Summoner's Art allows you to search your deck for level 5 or higher monster cards and add them to your hand while Double Summon lets you normal summon monsters twice per turn.

Add A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon spell card into your deck. By returning a Dragon card from play to your hand, you can destroy every spell and trap card on the field.
