  • Lemonade mix
  • Stiff bristled brush
  • Broom
  • Dustpan
  • White vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • Distilled water
  • All-purpose flour
  • Iron removing product
  • Plastic wrap
  • Tape
  • Butter knife or paint scraper

  1. Lemonade Rust Stain Removal

    • 1

      Bring ½ gallon of water to a boil on your stove.

      Add 1 packet of unsweetened lemonade mix to the water. Stir with a wooden spoon until the lemonade mix is dissolved.

      Pour the mixture directly onto the rust stain.

      Scrub the lemonade mixture into the stain with a stiff bristled brush. Continue scrubbing until the rust stain is gone.

      Rinse the area with cool water. Repeat the process if necessary.

    Vinegar Rust Stain Removal

      Sweep your garage floor with a broom and dustpan to remove the surface dirt.

      Pour white or apple cider vinegar directly onto the rust stain.

      Allow the vinegar to sit on the stain for several minutes.

      Scrub the rust stain with a stiff bristled brush. Add more vinegar to the stain if needed.
