How to Use Fade In/Out Video Effect With the Nero Vision Express 3?
When creating a DVD in Nero Vision Express 3, you are also given the opportunity to create a menu. If you use the included template and a little practice, this menu can look just as professional as the menus found on DVDs you buy in stores. One of the effects you can use when creating a menu is the "Fade In/Fade Out" video effect, which can provide a nice transition from the menu to the actual video file on the disc.
Instructions

-
1
Open Nero Vision Express 3.
-
2
Click "Import" to import a video file that you'd like to burn to a DVD. Once the video file has been successfully imported, click "Next."
-
-
3
Use the screen you see in front of you to create the basic outline of your menu. The window on the left of the screen will give you an indication of what your menu looks like, while the column on the right side of the screen gives you the ability to add video effects, additional buttons and other elements.
-
4
Click on the video file you'll be burning to DVD in the window on the left side of the screen, to select it. This will cause the column on the right side of the screen to change and reflect effects that you can add to the specific video file you've selected.
-
5
Use the "Transition" drop down menu to select either "Fade In" or "Fade Out" (depending on your preference). Now, when your DVD is finalized and burned, when you select that particular video file to view the menu will fade out to black before fading into the video file, providing a professional-looking transition.
