How to Put Line in a Gas Trimmer
Gas trimmers help cut down weeds and grass that a lawn mower or lawn tractor cannot reach. Replacing the line in a gas trimmer is simple. There are two styles of trimmer line: fixed line and spool. Fixed line trimmers require a seven inch piece of special line that feeds through a series of holes where a spool trimmer requires wrapping line around a spool that connects into the trimmer's head. Check your owner's manual to see what kind of style your trimmer is. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
For a spool trimmer, you can buy a 10 foot piece of line that you can cut the appropriate size. It is cheaper by the foot than buying precut sizes.
Do not turn the trimmer on for any reason during the repair.
