Instructions

    • 1

Cut out the bottom of a laundry hamper.

    • 2

Wrap a piece of cardboard around the hamper and cut off any excess.

    • 3

Glue the cardboard around the hamper using hot glue. Allow the glue to cool completely.

    • 4

Cut out arm holes from the cardboard near the top of the structure.

    • 5

Cover the entire structure with craft glue using a paintbrush.

    • 6

Wrap a red plastic tablecloth around the structure, smoothing out any wrinkles. Cut out the arm holes from the red tablecloth. Allow the glue to dry completely. This will be the body of the ketchup bottle.

    • 7

Cut out an oval from white poster board. Glue the oval to the front of the structure using hot glue. Allow the glue to cool completely. This will be the label on the ketchup bottle.

    • 8

Wrap a large piece of white poster board around the top of the structure. The dimensions should be approximately 24 inches long by 18 inches high. Pull the bottom edge slightly tighter, creating a taper. Cut off the excess.

    • 9

Hot glue the tapered poster board to the top of the cardboard. Allow the glue to cool completely. This will be where your head will go.

    • 10

Cover the tapered white poster board with craft glue. Wrap the tapered poster board with a piece of red plastic tablecloth, leaving around 4 inches white at the top of it to resemble a cap.

    • 11

Cut out a hole from the front of the tapered section for your face.

    • 12

Paint the word "ketchup" onto the white oval. Once dry, you can wear a long-sleeved, red tee-shirt, and can slip the costume over your head.
