Silhouettes of a bride and groom at the time of their wedding are sure to be treasured. A grouping of grandchildren's silhouettes will delight all for years to come. Encasing the completed silhouettes in simple black picture frames will deliver a maximum amount of drama. Group the framed silhouettes on the wall over a sofa or table.

  • Digital camera
  • Computer
  • Printer
  • White printer paper
  • Mylar plastic sheet
  • Scissors
  • Picture frame, 5 inches by 7 inches
  • Colored card stock
  • Black card stock
  • Glue stick
  • Lead pencil
  • White colored pencil

Instructions

      Take a photograph of a silhouette subject. Action photos and profiles work well.

      Import the photograph to a computer photo program.

      Drag the photograph to a word processing document. Adjust the size to approximately 4 inches by 6 inches.

      Print the photograph on white paper. Place the Mylar sheet over the photograph with the rough side up. Trace the silhouette subject with the pencil. Cut the traced figure out of the Mylar.

      Place the Mylar figure on the black cardstock and trace with the white colored pencil. Cut the figure out.

      Cut the colored cardstock to measure 5 inches by 7 inches. Glue the black silhouette to the center of the colored cardstock. Insert the silhouette in the picture frame.
