How to Remove the Steering Damper on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee

The front steering damper on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee is a shock-absorber that mounts to the steering linkage. This helps stop the steering from vibrating side to side. This minimizes high-speed vibrations, and if it goes out, the loss of steering control can cause an accident. To fix the problem, you have to remove the stock steering damper and replace it with a new one.
