How to Download Flash Video From The Web

Videos in the Flash video format can be found on numerous websites online. You can download a Flash video efficiently and at no cost by using an online download website. There are a number of online download websites that will transfer the Flash video from the online web page to the hard drive of your computer. No expertise in working with video editing programs is needed, nor do you have to install any program to download the Flash video using the online download website.

Downloading flash video using the Media Converter online video conversion website

  • Go to a website where there is a Flash video that you want to download to your computer. Highlight the Web address at the top of the Web browser with the mouse. Press “Control+C” or “Cntrl+V” to copy the Web address to the computer’s clipboard.

  • Go to the Media Converter online download website. Click on the “Enter URL” button to cause an empty text column to appear.

  • Paste the Web address of the Flash video into the empty text column by pressing “Control+V” or “Cntrl+V.” Press the “Next” button to go to a new Web page.

  • Set the drop-down menu of the “Format” tab to “FLV”. Press the “Next” button to go to a new Web page.

  • Press the “Start” button. Wait for a confirmation window to appear. Press “OK” on the confirmation window to go to a new Web page.

  • Press the “Download” button beneath the “Download File” tab. Name the Flash video with the same name as the original in the “Name” column at the top of the window that appears over the Web page.

  • Select “Desktop” from the drop down menu below “Location” in the middle of the window. Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the window.

  • Wait as the Flash video is saved to the desktop of the computer. Quit the Web browser once the Flash video has been saved.

Downloading flash video using the Zamzar online video conversion website

  • Go to a website where there is a Flash video that you want to download to your computer. Highlight the web address at the top of the web browser with the mouse. Press “Control+C” or “Cntrl+V” to copy the web address to the computer’s clipboard.

  • Go to the Zamzar online download website (see the link in Resources). Click on the “Download Videos” tab.

  • Paste the web address of the Flash video into the “Step 1” empty text column by pressing “Control+V” or Cntrl+V.”

  • Select “Flash/FLV” from the drop down menu below “Step 2.”

  • Enter your email address into the “Step 3” empty text column.

  • Click on the “Convert” button below “Step 4.”

  • Open your email program. Locate the email sent to you by Zamzar. Click on the email to open its window.

  • Click on the link in the body of the email to open a web page on the web browser. Click on the link on the web page.

  • Navigate in the window that appears to the desktop of the computer. Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the window. Quit the web browser once the Flash video has been saved to the desktop of the computer.

  • Go to a website where there is a Flash video that you want to download to your computer. Highlight the web address at the top of the web browser with the mouse. Press “Control+C” or “Cntrl+V” to copy the web address to the computer’s clipboard.

  • Go to the Vixy online download website (see the link in Resources).

  • Paste the web address of the Flash video into the “URL” empty text column at the top of the web page by pressing “Control+V” or Cntrl+V.”

  • Select “FLV” from the drop down menu next to the “Converts to:” tab. Press the “Start” button below the “Converts to” tab to go to a new web page.

  • Click on the “Browse” button next to the “Save To” tab. Navigate in the window that appears to the desktop of the computer. Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the window. ?

  • Wait as the Flash video is saved to the desktop of the computer. Quit the web browser once the Flash video has been saved.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don’t have any other web pages active on the Web browser while you are using the online download website.
  • Leaving the online download website before the Flash video has been saved to the desktop will make you have to repeat the entire process all over again.
