How to Hook Up a Converter Box to an Analog TV With a DVD Recorder
A converter box transforms digital television into analog signals for viewing on older TV sets. The box connects to the source signal, such as a cable TV box, with a coaxial cable. Hooking up a DVD recorder between the converter box and TV makes it possible to burn programming on a multimedia disc or use the DVD recorder as a pass-through component for watching shows on TV without recording them.
