Send money orders on eBay to pay for some items.

Purchasing merchandise on eBay can be a hobby for some people and for others it is an effective way to find competitive pricing for used and new items. As you browse the eBay listings looking for items you wish to purchase, pay attention to the payment methods you can use to pay for the items. While you must pay for most items using a credit card, debit card or Paypal, there are some exceptions to this rule. Some items offer the option of paying with money orders for eBay.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the eBay website and sign into your account with your username and password.

    • 2

Browse through the item listings to find an item you wish to purchase. Item categories that offer the option of paying with a money order include eBay Motors, business equipment, real estate and "adult only" listings.

    • 3

Find an item within one of these categories and click on it to view the listing. Ascertain that the seller will accept a money order as payment by checking the payment methods listed in the auction.

    • 4

Bid on the auction or purchase the item utilizing the "Buy It Now" feature.

    • 5

Contact the seller by clicking the "Contact Seller" link within the item listing after you win the item. Send the seller a message requesting the seller's name and mailing address to enable you to send the money order to pay for the item.

    • 6

Purchase the money order, fill in the seller's name and address and mail it to the seller as soon as possible after the auction. When the seller receives the money order, he will then send you your item.
