Apply Sahara herbicide to control weeds and other unwanted growth.

Sahara is a brand of herbicide produced by the BASF Corporation and is produced for use in a granular form. Sahara uses imazapyr and diuron as primary active ingredients for killing grass and weeds. The product can be mixed with other herbicides such as those containing glyphosate, however, it is not recommended for use with 2-4-D herbicide products. Sahara will potentially kill any living plant that it contacts. When applied correctly, Sahara is an effective and efficient means to control weeds, grass, brush and vines. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Put on a long sleeve shirt, safety glasses and gloves before handling any herbicide. Position a spray tank on a flat and level surface such as a driveway or patio.

    • 2

Open the top of the spray tank and place it to the side. Pour the amount of Sahara granules you will need into a measuring cup. The amount needed varies based on factors including spray tank size and type of weed, grass, brush or vines being sprayed.

    • 3

Pour the granules into the spray tank. Position a hose so that the stream of water will flow down the inside of the tank and not directly into the bottom. This will help reduce foaming and overflow. Prevent the hose from contacting the tank to avoid transfer of herbicide to the hose nozzle.

    • 4

Turn on the water and slowly fill the spray tank to the desired level. Remove the hose and turn off the water. Place the tank lid on by threading it down tightly.

Tips & Warnings

  • Apply Sahara only as directed by the manufacturer. This product should be used to remove all vegetation from a location. Sahara is capable of killing most vegetation it contacts, including trees.
