1
Turn the table over on its side or invert it completely if the gum is stuck underneath. This will make the cleaning process easier because you will not have to lie on your back to remove the gum. If the chewing gum resides on the legs or the top of the table, ensure that you have plenty of room to work.

2
Wear gloves to protect your hands from the gum.

3
Brush olive oil over the edges of the gum. Allow it to set for five to 10 minutes.
-
4
Scrape the chewing gum gently with a plastic spatula, and it should fall off easily. If the gum still appears stuck, do not force it to come off. Use another method for removing the gum.

5
Spray WD-40 over the gum. Allow it to sit for five minutes, and then scrape it off with the plastic spatula. If the gum does not come off easily, spray it again with the WD-40 and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.

6
Remove the gum residue with a dry cloth. Spray more WD-40 or apply more olive oil to the area if the residue does not come off easily.
-
7
Scrub the bottom of the table with a sponge. Soak the sponge in warm and soapy water made with a liquid dish detergent to kill germs and bacteria.
-
8
Rinse the table with a clean and damp washcloth. Dry the table with a dry washcloth.
