Purses can be challenging to keep organized because they come in different shapes and sizes, they are bulky and they can take up a lot of space. You want to see your purses so you can find the one you need, but you also want to store them neatly and out of the way when you're not using them. No matter how much closet space you have, you can learn how to organize purses in a closet, and it's not as difficult as you may think.
Things You'll Need
- Plastic storage bins or totes with lids
- Double-sided tape
Sort your purses into categories that make sense for you. You could sort them by season, by style (casual or formal) or by size.
Take a photograph of each individual purse.
Place purses in each category neatly into separate storage bins.
Attach the photos of each purse in each storage bin to the outside of the bin with double-sided tape.
Place the lids on the storage bins, and stack them neatly in your closet, either on a shelf or on the floor, with the photos facing outward so you can easily see which purses are inside each storage bin.
Tips & Warnings
- If you discard a purse, remove its photo from the outside of the storage box it was in.
- If you add a new purse to your collection, take a photo of it, and add the photo to the outside of the storage box you place the new purse in.
