How to Burn to a CD Using Nikon Picture Project thumbnail
Burn your photos to CD with Nikon Picture Project.

Nikon Picture Project, a proprietary Nikon program, allows users to store, organize and perform basic edits on their photos. This program also allows users to burn their photos to a CD without having to use external software. Nikon Picture Project creates a streamlined work flow for users and makes the process of burning CDs simple for even novice users.

Instructions

    • 1

Save the photos you wish to burn into a single folder. This folder, called a "collection" in Nikon Picture Project, organizes your photos. Select the photos to add to the folder either singly or as a group, then click on them with the mouse and drag them to the folder on the left toolbar.

    • 2

Insert a blank CD into the CD-RW drive. Close and ignore any pop up messages given by your operating system or other CD burning software.

    • 3

Select "Burn" from the top toolbar to open the "Burn CD/DVD" dialog box. Enter a name for your project CD and select the number of copies to burn.

    • 4

Choose between original and optimized photos. Original photos transfer the original files in their entirety to the CD where optimized photos are smaller, streamlined files. If choosing optimized photos, select the photo size and quality.

    • 5

Click "Burn" to burn your CD in Picture Project.
