How to Clean Composite Granite

Composite granite is a mixture of natural granite and acrylic resin. The two combine to make attractive, durable surfaces used in many kitchen and bathroom areas. There are plenty of elements that can leave your composite granite surface soiled, including mineral deposits, hard water stains, soap scum and food particles. To remove these elements, you need to find a sufficient cleaning product that will remove all of the residue without leaving a film behind, as many commercial cleaners do.

Things You'll Need

• Spray bottle
• Water
• Dish soap
• Nylon sponge
• Dish towel

Instructions

1. Pour 2 cups of water and 1 tbsp. of dish soap into a spray bottle.

2. Spray the soapy water over your composite granite surfaces.

3. Scrub gently with a damp nylon sponge to remove residue buildup.

4. Wipe the area with a dry dish towel after cleaning to remove excess moisture and cleaning solution.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not use harsh chemicals or acid-based products to clean your composite granite, as this destroys the granite finish.
