How to Create a VCD Using Nero
VCD stands for "Video CD." This format permits you to create a DVD-type video using a regular CD. VCDs store up to 80 minutes of video recording and you can play such discs on any standalone DVD player. The popular burning program Nero supports common video formats, including AVI, MPEG and WMV, allowing users to convert video files to a VCD.

Place a blank CD into your computer's optical drive.

Start the Nero program.

Click on the flame icon in the left corner of the program window, and choose "Nero Express Essentials."

Click "Video/Picture" and select the option "Video CD."

Click the "Add" button to open the browse window.

Find the video files on your computer; then double-click on each file you want to burn.

Click "Next" then set "CD/DVD burner" in the field "Current Recorder."

Click "Burn" to create a VCD.
