How to Embed Flash Into PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint is one of the world's most widely used presentation applications. It lets users create slide-based shows using text, images, sounds and video clips. It also supports the embedding of animations and other dynamic content using Adobe Flash files in the SWF format. Once you know the proper steps, adding Flash content to a PowerPoint presentation becomes a quick task.

Place your Flash SWF file in the same folder as your PowerPoint presentation.

Open your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint and navigate to the slide where your Flash content will be embedded.

Click "View" in the top menu bar, select "Toolbars" and choose "Control Toolbox."

Click the "More Controls" button, represented by an icon with a hammer and wrench and located at the end of the "Controls" toolbox.

Double click the "Shockwave Flash Object" item.

Click and drag on your PowerPoint slide to create a box roughly equivalent to the size of your Flash content. Release your click to place the item.

Right click the box you just created and select "Properties."

Click the "..." button to the right of the "Custom" field at the top of the "Properties" dialog box.

Enter the name of your SWF file in the "Movie URL" field, and then set your preferences for the Flash content's quality level and other playback features in the corresponding fields.

Click "OK." Your Flash content is embedded into your PowerPoint presentation.

Tips & Warnings
The Flash Player ActiveX control must be installed on the computer being used for your presentation. The Flash content will not load otherwise. If you can view Flash content in your Internet Explorer browser, the ActiveX control is already installed on your system.
