A yellow tea rose Select a dozen roses. You can either choose a dozen of the same color and variety, or experiment with an assortment of colors and rose types, such as yellow tea roses, deep-red long-stemmed roses and grandiflora pink roses.
-
2
Bundle the roses together in your hands; use gloves to prevent thorns from sticking you. Wrap a rubber band around the center of the bundled stems.

3
Spread the 12-inch-by-12-inch square of fabric in front of you. It doesn't matter what type of fabric you use, as long as it prevents the thorns from poking your hands. Get creative and choose any type of color or texture you desire.
-
4
Place the bundle of roses in the center of the fabric, making sure to have the blossoms extend above the top of the fabric by 3 inches.
-
5
Fold or roll the fabric snugly around the stems of the bouquet. Place a small dot of glue between the tight folds to hold it into place. Allow the glue to dry for about 14 minutes.
-
6
Snip the ends of the roses to make them about an inch shorter than the hanging lower hem of the fabric. Discard the stem clippings.

Preserve the bouquet by choosing a preservation technique such as air drying. Hang the bouquet upside down to dry it, and spray the blooms lightly with hairspray to keep the petals intact.
