How to Use a Sword in Medal of Honor Rising Sun
The machete weapon in Medal of Honor: Rising Son allows you to make easy kills from close-range, as well as quickly navigate through the jungle--to find shortcuts through levels. The machete can only be found once in the game.

Play through the game until you reach the "Pistol Pete Showdown" level. The machete is not available until this level.

Rescue your prisoner-soldiers early in the level from the POW camp.

Go to the back of the biggest house by the POW camp, and move to the crawling position.

Go underneath the house at the opening. The machete is inside.

Pick up the machete using the "swap weapons" button (which appears on-screen) and swing it using your "attack button."
