Homemade Glass Cleaners Using Ammonia
Glass becomes noticeable when soil and film develop, as you quickly see all of the impurities on the surface every time you look out a glass window or sit a drink on a glass table. Glass cleaning products are available at any grocery or hardware store, but these are often pricey and sometimes even leave a cloudy film behind. To clean glass properly and leave no residue behind, use a homemade glass cleaner with an ammonia base. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle
- Water
- Ammonia
- Vinegar
- Dish soap
- Lint-free rags or newspaper

Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups water, 1/2 cup ammonia, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1 tsp. dish soap. Combined, these ingredients cut through film, kill bacteria and dry clear and streak-free.

Spray a mist of this solution onto your glass surface.

Wipe the glass clean using a lint-free rag or a handful of crumpled newspaper. Wipe in large circles, and repeat until the entire glass surface is clean.
