How to Remove Candle Wax From Votive
When you light candles inside a votive, you are likely to get dried wax on the votive. It can be quite difficult to remove, so it's best to take preventative measures. Take the candle out of the votive, and put the votive in a freezer.

Leave the votive in the freezer for three hours.

Take the votive out of the freezer, and chip off the wax with a screwdriver, being careful not to scratch the votive.

Wait for the votive to warm back to room temperature on its own.

Fill a large bowl with warm water and one teaspoon liquid dish soap.

Place the room temperature votive in the water and scrub off any remaining bits of wax with a sponge.
