Blot the stain with rags to soak up as much urine as possible. Switch to a clean rag as the old one becomes filled with urine.

    • 2

Pour equal parts white vinegar and water into an empty spray bottle. Shake the bottle to combine the water and vinegar.

    • 3

Saturate the urine stain with the solution. Rub the urine stain with a clean rag using a circular motion.

    • 4

Allow the surface or clothing to air dry. If the clothing is machine washable, wash it as usual.

Tips & Warnings

  • To further neutralize urine odor, sprinkle the area with baking soda. Mix 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 tsp. liquid dish soap and drizzle the mixture over the baking soda. Scrub it in with a scrub brush, allow it to dry and vacuum the powder off. If the urine is on clothing, shake out the excess powder once it has dried, then wash the item as usual.
