How to Unlock the Password to JPEG Files on XP

Save

Removing the password from a folder containing your Windows JPEG files can save you time, as you will no longer have to constantly and repeatedly input the password when accessing the files therein. This is accomplished by moving the files out of the designated protected folder, removing the password protection they formerly enjoyed.

  • Right-click "Start' and click "Explore."

  • Navigate to the protected folder containing the JPEG files.

  • Double-click on the folder to open it. Input the password to access the contents.

  • Click "File" and select "Remove Password." This will strip the password protection from the JPEG files stored therein.
