How to Use a Zune Card

The Zune Marketplace allows users to purchase and download music and videos to be uploaded onto a Zune player. In order to purchase songs in the Zune Marketplace you must get Microsoft points, sign up for a monthly Zune Pass or redeem a prepaid Zune card. You can find prepaid Zune cards at many retail stores. Each card features a redeem code on the back that you must use to get points for download items.

Instructions

1. Open the Zune software on your computer. Click on the "Sign In" button at the top of the application and enter your email address and password.

2. Click on the "Sign In" button again and you'll be logged into the Zune Marketplace. Click on the "Settings" option from the top toolbar menu.

3. Click on the "Account" option and then click on the "Redeem" option below the "Microsoft Points" heading.

4. Enter the 25-digit code found on the back of your Zune card into the "Code" field. Click on the "Next" button.

5. Enter your contact information in the "Contact Info" screen and then click on the "Next" button. You will receive a message saying that your prepaid code has been accepted.
