How to Put a Hyperlink in a Powerpoint
Hyperlinks can help PowerPoint presentations seamlessly transition to various different avenues. For instance, a user can place a hyperlink that takes the audience to a new presentation with one click. Several other different types of hyperlinks can be placed in a slide show, such as links to websites, an email address or to a different slide in the same presentation.

Go to the slide where you want to place a hyperlink, then select the text or object that you wish to make the anchor for the hyperlink.

Choose the "Insert" tab on the top of the screen, then click "Hyperlink." A new "Insert Hyperlink" window will appear. You can also press CTRL+K to open the hyperlink window.

Click "Webpage" in the left pane of the "Insert Hyperlink" window.

Type in the link to the desired webpage in the "Address" field, then click "OK" to finish adding the webpage hyperlink.
Email

Go to the slide where you want to place a hyperlink, then select the text or object that you wish to make the anchor for the hyperlink.

Choose the "Insert" tab on the top of the screen, then click "Hyperlink." A new "Insert Hyperlink" window will appear. You can also press CTRL+K to open the hyperlink window.

Click "E-mail Address" in the left pane of the "Insert Hyperlink" window. A new set of options appears in the main pane of the window.

Type in the address in the "E-mail Address" field, then click "OK" to finish inserting an email address hyperlink.
Slide in Current Presentation

Go to the slide where you want to place a hyperlink, then select the text or object that you wish to make the anchor for the hyperlink.

Choose the "Insert" tab on the top of the screen, then click "Hyperlink." A new "Insert Hyperlink" window will appear. You can also press CTRL+K to open the hyperlink window.

Choose "Place in this document" from the left pane of the "Insert Hyperlink" window. A new set of options appears in the main pane.

Choose the slide that you want the hyperlink to direct to, then click "OK" to finish adding a hyperlink to a slide in the current presentation.
Slide in Different Presentation

Go to the slide where you want to place a hyperlink, then select the text or object that you wish to make the anchor for the hyperlink.

Choose "Existing File" from the left side of the "Insert Hyperlink" pane. A new set of options appears in the main pane.

Locate and click once on the desired PowerPoint presentation file name. Click "Bookmark." This opens a new window where you can view and select the slide you wish to link to.

Select the slide from the resulting window, and click "OK" to finish adding a hyperlink to a slide in a different presentation.
New Document

Click "Create new document" in the left side of the "Insert Hyperlink" pane. A new set of options appears in the main pane.

Type in the desired name of the new file you want to create.

Click "OK" to finish adding a hyperlink to a new document.
