How to Cut & Paste on G1

The T-Mobile G1, also known as the HTC G1, allows you to use keypad shortcuts to perform clipboard actions. For example, you can cut a block of highlighted text, or you can copy it to your clipboard and paste it into another application or text area. The G1's keypad shortcut functions are similar to those found on a PC.

Instructions

1. Highlight the text. Simultaneously press "Menu" and "X" to cut (delete) the highlighted text.

2. Highlight the text. Simultaneously press "Menu" and "C" to copy text to your clipboard.

3. Navigate to the program or document you want to paste the text into. Simultaneously press "Menu" and "V."

Tips & Warnings

• If you are highlighting text from a web site, you can press and hold the trackball. This brings up a menu with your clipboard options (cut, copy or paste). Make your selection from the menu.
